Stanford AITC
Precision Health & Intervention in Aging & ADRD
We build, evaluate, and share artificial intelligence and technology that helps older adults, and the people who care for them, live well at home.
Who we are
An Artificial Intelligence and Technology Collaboratory for aging research
The Stanford AITC is part of the National Institute on Aging's national network of Collaboratories charged with identifying, developing, evaluating, and disseminating AI and technology that improves the health and independence of older adults.
Our theme, Precision Health & Intervention, asks a specific question: how do we match the right intervention to the right person at the right moment?
Our focus
AI and technology for precision intervention
Older adults with the same diagnosis can differ substantially in their health, abilities, daily lives, and response to treatment. Our work uses AI and technology to help match interventions to individual needs, personalize how support is delivered, adapt support as needs change, and measure outcomes that matter in everyday life.
- Data-guided intervention matching
- Personalized digital support
- Adaptive and responsive technology
- Mobility and everyday function
Research Award Program
Advance AI- and technology-enabled interventions for aging
The Stanford AITC supports investigators and multidisciplinary teams developing, testing, and advancing AI- and technology-enabled precision interventions for older adults, including people at risk for or living with AD/ADRD. Awardees receive funding together with scientific consultation, research coordination, data and AI resources, regulatory and ethics guidance, and implementation support.
Funding opportunities range from rapid-response projects to larger national and academic–industry awards. Eligibility, award scope, and application timelines vary by funding opportunity.
